Frequently asked questions
Do I wear my own shoes to bowl?
Absolutely. No Velcro shoes here! To protect our luscious lanes, we ask that you refrain from wearing high heels and stilettos and avoid open toed shoes to keep those toes safe!
Do you allow all ages in the venue?
All ages are very welcome in the venue during the daytime, but we ask that all under 18s are accompanied by an adult at all times, and our venue is age 18+ only after 7pm every day.
How long does a game of bowling last?
A game of bowling typically last around 10 mins per person per game. If you’re looking to keep rolling, our unlimited package offers all you can bowl fun!
Can I get food and drink while bowling?
Of course! Our mouthwatering menu includes a sumptuous selection of burgers, pizzas, wings and sharing platters. Drinks options include our signature cocktails, craft beers, premium wines and a wide range of low and no alcohol options. We also offer a delicious children’s menu and soft drinks to keep the little ones fuelled.

What is included in the eat, drink and play package?
This package offers 2 games of bowling plus food and a drink per person. Food items to choose from include our range of delicious burgers and pizzas – with plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available. Your choice of drinks includes a pint of draught beer, glass of wine, spirit and a mixer or a soft drink.
Can I bring a dog?
Unfortunately, with the equipment and noise of our live lanes, Vintners Lanes can only accommodate assistance dogs. The Yard Bar downstairs in Vintners Yard is however an ideal place to enjoy with your furry friends.
Can I pay in cash?
For safety and security reasons, Vintners Lanes does not accept payment in cash. We do accept all major credit and debit cards.
Do you have a cloak room?
We have a number of lockers you can use to store items while at the venue, as well as coat and bag hooks throughout.
Is the venue accessible for wheelchair users?
Absolutely. There is a lift up to the venue and all areas including the bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Do you offer student discount?
We offer student discount on all games and our unlimited package for all bookings from 10am Monday to 5pm Friday. All guests booked at a student rate must bring a valid NUS card to the booking.
Do you offer concessions?
We offer a Blue Light discount and can also accommodate essential carers. Please contact us at hello@vintnerslanes.co.uk to arrange your visit.
How does the unlimited offer work?
Our unlimited offer allows you to pay once and bowl for as long as you like in a single session! You will initially be booked for 3 games of bowling and can then speak to our friendly team if you’d like to keep playing. Depending on availability you can then continue bowling on the same lane or our team will find the next available slot for you to keep the fun going. At busy times this may involve a short wait for a lane to become free.
Do I need a booking?
We always recommend booking to secure your ideal slot, especially during busy times. If you do walk in on the day, we’ll do our best to fit you in as soon as we can and there’s always delicious food and drinks to enjoy if there’s a wait!
How do I change the number of people in my group?
Contact us by email at hello@vintnerslanes.co.uk and we will do our best to accommodate the change.
What do I do if I’m running late?
We ask all our guests to arrive at least 10 minutes before their booking is due to begin. If you are running late, please email us at hello@vintnerslanes.co.uk to let us know. We will do our best to move your booking to a later slot that day, but on busy days this might not be possible, and all bookings are non-refundable.
Can I cancel my booking?
We aren’t able to offer cancellation, but if you are unable to make your booking, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance via hello@vintnerslanes.co.uk and we will be able to rearrange your booking free of charge for a different date in the next 3 months where we have availability.
